UPSC ESE 2024

UPSC ESE 2024 exam is going to be held on 18th February 2024 at different exam center. The exam is going to be held in to sessions i.e; 10AM to 12 PM and  02 PM to 02 PM.

UPSC ESE 2024 General Instructions.

  1. Union Public Service Commission will be conducting the ENGINEERING SERVICES (PRE.) EXAMINATION, 2024 on 18th February, 2024 (Sunday) all over India. The Commission will upload the e-Admit Card for the convenience of the admitted candidates on its website (http://upsconline.nic.in). The admitted candidates are advised to download their e-Admit Card and take a printout as soon as the same is uploaded on the website. The e-Admit Card must be preserved till the declaration of the final result of the Engineering Services Examination, 2024. No paper Admit card will be issued for this Examination. “Important Instructions to the candidates” appended with the e-Admit Card must be read carefully by the candidates.

2. The candidates will have to produce the printout of their e-Admit Card at the allotted Venue for appearing at the Examination. A candidate, who does not produce his/her e-Admit Card for checking at the allotted venue, shall not be allowed to take the Examination. The candidates are also required to carry along the Photo ID card, whose number is mentioned in the e-Admit Card, in each Session.

3. In case of any discrepancy in the e-Admit Card, the same may be communicated to the Commission immediately by email (at email ID usengg-upsc@nic.in) for taking the decision in the matter.

4. Candidates should also note that they shall not be allowed to appear at any other Examination Venue except at the Examination Venue mentioned in the e-Admit Card.

5. It must be noted that the Forenoon Session will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and the Afternoon Session will be held from 02:00 PM to
05:00 PM. The entry of the Candidates in the Venue shall be closed 30 minutes prior to the commencement of the Examination (in each Session). No candidates shall be allowed entry into the Examination Venue after closure of entry.

6. Candidates are not allowed to enter the examination premises with any valuables/costly items, mobile phones, smart/digital watches, other IT gadgets, books, bags etc. Candidates are advised not to bring banned items as Venue Supervisors will not make any arrangement for keeping these items at the Venue. In case, a candidate brings any such banned items, he/she will make his/her own arrangements for keeping the same outside the venue and the Commission will not be responsible for any loss in this regard. Further, the candidates will be allowed to take with them only e-Admit Card, pen, pencil, identity proof, photographs and any other items as specified in the Instructions of the e-Admit Card to the Venue. No other items shall be allowed to be taken inside the Venue. 

7. Possession/use of mobile phones (even in switch off mode) and other electronic/communication devices or any other incriminating material (notes on e-Admit Cards, papers, erasers etc.) or violation of any instruction shall entail disciplinary action which may include cancellation of candidature of candidate, filing of FIR/police complaint against the candidate, prohibition from appearing in subsequent session(s) of the examination. In addition, the Commission may take any other appropriate action as per provisions contained in the Examination Rules.

 8. Candidates are also advised to bring Black Ball Point Pen to the Examination Hall for taking the examination.

9. Candidates may submit representations, if any, on the questions asked in the Question Papers of this Examination to the Commission through the “Online Question Paper Representation Portal (QPRep)” only by accessing the URL: https://upsconline.nic.in/miscellaneous/QPRep/ during the period from 19th – 25th February, 2024 (till 06:00 pm). No representation through any other mode shall be accepted after 25th February, 2024 by the Commission. 

10. Only use of normal or analog wrist watches is allowed inside the Examination Rooms/Halls by the candidates. Watches fitted with any special accessory that might be used as communication device or smart/digital watches are strictly prohibited.
